Likely presidential candidate Donald Trump visited north Iowa on Thursday and drew quite the crowd.
A few hundred people packed into Music Man Square in Mason City to hear Trump talk about his plan for America's future.

Although he is not officially running for president yet, Trump focused much of his speech on his experience as a businessman and tried to distance himself from established politicians on both sides of the aisle.
"I'm like a lone wolf in this pack," Trump said. "And believe me, I don't need the lobbyists, I don't need the donors, I don't need anything."

The speech drew numerous cheers from the audience who generally said they appreciated Trump's candid approach.

"I think Trump energizes a lot of people, particularly young people," said Jake Dagel of Ames, IA. "People are ready for something new. We've had 8 years of bad policies that are damaging towards my generation and we're ready for someone who's going to make that type of change."

"He's a businessman and that's what we need," said Deb Schmidt of Garner, IA. "Because the United States of America is big business and it needs to be run by a businessman, not a bunch of politicians."

"He just makes sense," said Ernie Rairdin of Cedar Rapids, IA. "Like his negotiating skills, his ideas on moving businesses out and bringing them back, just use some muscle."

Trump talked at length about trade issues with Mexico and China, saying we need a more even tax structure, and also touched on nuclear negotiations with Iran.

While being mobbed by supporters as he left, Trump spoke briefly about college tuition costs, once again saying it all comes back to business.

"The biggest problem that we have with college is that people are going through, they're doing great, they're getting great marks and grades, and they get out and they can't get a job," Trump said. "We're going to create jobs in this country, that's what you need."

Trump is not officially running for president, but multiple times Thursday he said he will make an announcement on June 16th that his supporters will be happy about.
