Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) released the following statement today after voting against a bill to repeal the Medical Device Tax.
"I voted against ending the Medical Device Tax today because the legislation did not pay for the $24.4 billion in revenue that would be lost in the next ten years if the tax is repealed. While I originally supported a surcharge on high-net worth individuals, not a medical device tax, I cannot support taking money away from the effort to make health care more affordable for America's families."
