Last week, Ted visited South Carolina to speak at the South Carolina Freedom Summit, and yesterday, he wrapped up a swing through Georgia where he spoke at the Georgia Republican Party's State Convention and engaged in a dialogue with Georgians at a townhall meeting in Hoschton. As the campaign continues, I know Ted looks forward to the opportunity to host and speak at events near you!

Two weeks ago, Cruz for President began to announce our leadership teams -- first in Iowa comprised of 23 lawmakers and activists, and then in South Carolina with over 40 conservative activists and influencers … and we've got more great news!

This Wednesday in New Hampshire, our campaign announced our leadership team for the Granite State. Former U.S. Sen. Bob Smith, Rep. Bill O'Brien, and Councilor David Wheeler will chair a team of over 40 conservative leaders across New Hampshire. We look forward to continuing to build our teams across the nation and hope you'll join us!

And on Monday prominent former state GOP chairmen with national profiles joined our campaign. Saul Anuzis, who served as Chairman of the Michigan Republican Party from 2005 to 2009, will serve as the Michigan Chairman and Ron Nehring, who served as Chairman of the California Republican Party from 2007 to 2011, will serve as the California Chairman for Cruz for President.

Foreign policy is going to be an important focus in the 2016 election, and on Tuesday, Ted joined Megyn Kelly on Fox News to discuss his views on the subject. Notably, he said, "I think foreign policy ought to be dictated by the vital national security interest of the United States. If and when we're required to use military force, it should be with a clearly defined objective. It should be with overwhelming force, and then we should get the heck out. It is not the job of our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines to transform foreign nations into democratic utopias. It's [their] job to hunt down and kill terrorists who want to murder Americans before they can carry out jihad." You can watch the discussion here.

As you know, last Sunday was Mother's Day, and I hope all our mothers across America felt appreciated and loved. In case you missed it, I wanted you to see the touching video our campaign released in which Ted speaks about his mother, Eleanor, and his wife, Heidi. Watch it here.
