Tonight, Congressmen Mike Bost (IL-12) voted to provide a $4.6 billion increase for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) above its current funding. This legislation totals $68.7 billion, which is 5.6 percent more than last year's level of funding.
"As a veteran and member of the Veterans' Affairs Committee, I'm happy this legislation will provide our America's heroes with improved medical care at VA facilities by investing in technology that improves the efficiency and effectiveness of veterans' health services," said Rep. Bost. "By investing in new technology and improving accountability at the ground level, we're empowering the VA with the resources necessary to care for every qualified veteran in need of care."
