Quigley Statement on Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act

Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) released the following statement in response to the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act passing the House:

"Preventing a nuclear Iran is critical to the national security of the U.S. and one of our closest allies, Israel. As a leader in the global community, we must do everything in our power to stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. I support current negotiations and am hopeful that an agreement can be reached, but I remain skeptical given Iran's deceptive history and ongoing destabilizing and dangerous activities. Today's vote is significant, as it affirms that transparency, congressional oversight, and strict verification must be a part of any agreement with Iran."
