Congressman Zinke believes the federal government is too big and reaches too far into Montana small businesses. He is committed to reducing overreaching regulations on small business that have stifled our ability to prosper economically, and is fighting regulations brought on by the EPA and ObamaCare.

Taxes: I support tax reform to make the tax code fairer, flatter and simpler for Montana families and small businesses.

Budget: I support a Balanced Budget Amendment and introduced the Balanced Budget Accountability Act which would prevent Members of Congress from receiving a paycheck if they fail to pass a balanced budget. I also believe in biennial budgeting, like we do in Monana.

Debt: The federal government has a spending problem. We need to cut taxes and grow our way out of this hole that Washington's big spenders have put us in. I will work on bi-partisan measures to cut wasteful spending, eliminate the deficit and pay down the debt.
