South Dakota Governor's Residence Open House Schedule

The public is invited to attend an open house of the newly constructed South Dakota Governor's residence with the first tour hosted on Friday, June 3, 2005 from 5-8 p.m. Public tours will continue daily through June 7 according to the following schedule:

Public Tours: June 3 - 5-8 p.m.
June 4 - 10-3 p.m.
June 5 - 1-5 p.m.
June 6 - 5-8 p.m.
June 7 - 5-8 p.m.

"This residence is a great example of South Dakotan's working together to complete a project that was built and paid for by public donations, small and large, from individuals and businesses," said Gov. Mike Rounds. "It's truly a showcase for South Dakota products, including rocks from Crazy Horse Monument and South Dakota field stones and granite."

According to Paul Kinsman, Commissioner of the Bureau of Administration, viewers will see the public portion of the residence, along with the main floor of the private area. The tour will begin at the East side main entrance.
