Gov. Rounds to Hold Education Town Hall Meeting in Marion
Gov. Mike Rounds announced that the Marion School District will be the site of the next education-focused town hall meeting on Monday, May 23 at 7 p.m. (CDT) in the high school gymnasium in Marion.
"We look forward to visiting with citizens interested in the future of education in and around Marion," said the governor. on the announcement.
The intent of the meeting is to invite administrators, teachers, board members and the community to share data and information to ensure that the future education system in Marion prepares students for college, technical school and the workplace.
"Every community is faced with its own unique challenges. This forum provides us with an opportunity to learn more about those local issues."
Marion is a district with a pre-K-12 enrollment of 245 students.
