Issue Position

Keeping our community safe is one of government's most important responsibilities and is a deeply personal issue for me because I spent 29 years serving in the California Highway Patrol. Sacramento has been irresponsible with policies like prison realignment which has released dangerous criminals into our community and has predictably led to an increase in crime. I will oppose policies like this among others such as legalizing marijuana which will increase the number of drivers under the influence on our roads. Using my career experience, I will work everyday in the Capitol to develop long-term solutions to our public safety problems because I know how important it is to the Antelope Valley. The California Reserve Peace Officers Association and California Association of Highway Patrolman have endorsed my campaign.
