Cornyn Bill to Reform Nation's Patent System Passes Judiciary Committee

U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) released the following statement after The PATENT Act, bipartisan legislation he introduced to reform our patent system, passed the Judiciary Committee with overwhelming bipartisan support:

"This legislation will protect entrepreneurs and innovators in Texas and across the country from abusive patent assertion practices that have burdened America's private sector for far too long," said Sen. Cornyn. "These sensible reforms are the best way to protect access to justice for plaintiffs with legitimate claims of infringement, and to deter those who seek to game the system."
