Following the Senate's concurrence to the House amendment to Senate Bill 30, permitting counties with unincorporated areas to establish tax increment financing districts, Governor Maggie Hassan issued the following statement:
"I applaud the Senate for their quick, bipartisan approval of the House amendment to this critical economic development legislation. By giving our unincorporated areas the ability to access the same economic development tools as the rest of the state, Senate Bill 30 is an important step forward for advancing the Balsams redevelopment project, which has great potential to create jobs and boost the North Country's economy, and I look forward to signing this bipartisan legislation into law."
