Continuing her efforts to help New Hampshire workers develop the skills and innovative thinking needed for good jobs in the 21st century economy, Governor Maggie Hassan announced today that five New Hampshire companies have been awarded job training grants to help them train 178 workers in new skills.
The job training grants total $60,456, and the companies contributed the same in matching funds to bring the total amount for training workers to $120,912.
"I am proud to announce this newest round of important grants that help New Hampshire workers develop skills for high-quality jobs at our growing businesses," Governor Hassan said. "New Hampshire's Job Training Fund is a critical resource that has helped provide essential skills to thousands of workers. We must maintain our commitment to higher education and job training in order to attract innovative businesses, help existing companies grow, and support the creation of good jobs for New Hampshire's middle class families."
