Governor Maggie Hassan today issued the following statement on the Joint Legislative Fiscal Committee's bipartisan vote to approve tabled federal funds from the February 19 meeting that would support public safety through efforts to combat substance misuse, improve school safety, and support local fire fighters:

"I applaud the members of the Joint Legislative Fiscal Committee for coming together today in a bipartisan vote to approve federal funds for critical public safety efforts. These federal funds will help us combat substance misuse, improve school safety, and support local fire fighters, and I thank the members of the committee for working together to improve public safety through the New Hampshire tradition of bipartisan problem-solving."
