Infrastructure investments are the arteries of the American economy. A prosperous America requires well-maintained roads, bridges, public transit systems, and other infrastructure investments.
A nation cannot prosper if it doesn't have an effective and efficiently-run transportation infrastructure. I believe investments in water, energy, education, and broadband priorities are also essential to create good jobs and keep America competitive in an increasingly globalized economy.
We must improve the region's dilapidated highway infrastructure while encouraging public transit and bicycle/pedestrian travel. I will continue to defend the Capitol Corridor and other regional transit services.
