Connecticut's transportation infrastructure is among the oldest in the nation, and faces a number of challenges to meet the transportation needs of today and in the future. Improving the condition of our infrastructure is tied directly to our economy by investing in jobs, reducing congestion and ensuring that both people and goods can get to where they need to go.
That is why I am working to:
Advance infrastructure development in eastern Connecticut through investments in improving our roads, highways and bridges -- as well rail and mass transit.
Coordinate local, state and federal efforts to move forward on the long-stalled extension of Route 11.
Unlock resources for the dredging and maintenance of our region's ports and harbors, which are vital to our economy.
