Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) released the following statement after the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the February ruling by U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen who issued an injunction to stop President Obama's unconstitutional November 2014 executive immigration orders from going into effect:
"Today's court decision is a huge win for the rule of law and our Constitution. Article I gives Congress clear jurisdiction on immigration matters and the Obama Administration's rogue executive actions have clearly infringed on that authority.
"The list of federal judges who have ruled Obama violated the law is growing, and the opinion of the Fifth Circuit confirms the president's overreach. Needless to say, I am thrilled by the court's decision and will continue to do my part to rein in this unaccountable, out-of-control federal government that has chosen not to enforce our immigration laws."
