Lujan Statement on Bill Ensuring Congressional Review of Iran Nuclear Deal

Congressman Ben Ray Luján of New Mexico's Third District released the following statement today after voting in support of legislation that provides Congress with 30 days to review a final international agreement on Iran's nuclear program.

"With the House's action today, Congress will send the President a bill that he has agreed to sign, and that will ensure Congress has a role in the critical effort to prevent a nuclear armed Iran. It is vital that we use every diplomatic tool available to achieve this goal, and this bipartisan compromise will enable the Administration to continue to pursue diplomacy toward a robust agreement that puts a verifiable stop to Iran's nuclear weapons p
