Cramer Calls for Transparency in Obama Federal Flood Rules Decision

Today Congressman Kevin Cramer joined 54 of his House colleagues in a letter to President Obama requesting records and information related to the public input solicited regarding Executive Order 13690, Establishing a Federal Flood Risk Management Standard. Concerns have been raised about the lack of transparency concerning the public input process used in developing the order.

"This executive order impacts many North Dakotans and they are rightly concerned about the lack of transparency from this administration. This order seems to be another example of the Administration trying to slip sweeping regulatory reforms past the American people without input. President Obama promised the most open and transparent administration in history. If they have nothing to hide on this issue it should be no problem for them to provide details of how the President and his advisors came to the specific requirements in this order and all relevant details as required by law," said Cramer.
