Cramer Statement on Peace Officer Memorial Day

Today, Congressman Kevin Cramer made the following statement in honor of Peace Officer Memorial Day. In North Dakota 61 peace officers have died in the line of duty since 1882.

"Today we say a special prayer of thanks for all of the men and women who willingly choose to protect us and our families. While we honor and remember the Peace Officers who made the ultimate sacrifice to keep our society safe and secure, we should recognize the dedication and commitment these officers make to our communities every day. I encourage everyone who benefits from the protection of our peace officers to express their gratitude with a word of appreciation."

This week, Congressman Cramer joined his colleagues in the House chamber to observe a moment of silence to honor those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
