Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) issued the following statement in observation of the 64th Annual National Day of Prayer:

"While the turmoil across the globe, the threat of radical Islam and terrorists, and the regular attacks against our values and beliefs trouble us, we can find comfort in prayer and the word of God. Today, millions of Americans will join together to ask God for His guidance and protection during these trying times. We pray for our veterans, our active duty men and women and their families who sacrifice for the safety of our nation. We humbly give our troubles over to the Lord and give thanks for the blessings and freedoms He has bestowed upon our country. Let us be united in placing our trust in the Lord and finding strength for our future as one nation under God."
