Hudson Votes to Axe the Death Tax

Statement

Date: April 16, 2015
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Taxes

Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) voted to axe the death tax:

"The death tax unfairly hits our small business owners and family farmers; at its core, it's a tax on the American dream. At a time of economic uncertainty, it makes no sense for the government to punish the very entrepreneurs who make economic growth and job creation possible. North Carolinians do not owe their success to the federal government, and the benefits of their hard work shouldn't be confiscated from their children and grandchildren when they die."
