Congressman Bruce Westerman (R-Hot Springs) issued the following statement upon passage of H.R. 36, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act of 2015:

"My vote to outlaw pain capable abortion is about one simple thing -- protecting life. Babies at 20 weeks are viable outside the womb and under zero circumstances should the United States have a legal mechanism to take the life of these children. My constituents should know that as long as I have a voice, I will stand to protect life."
