Congresswoman Dingell Questions Administration on Customs Plaza; Donovan "Optimistic"

Location: Washington, DC

Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-12), a member of the House Budget Committee, today questioned Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director Shaun Donovan about funding for the U.S. Customs Plaza at the New International Trade Crossing.

"The budget doesn't address the third bridge crossing again," said Dingell. "So could we ask that we do work with the White House and the appropriate agencies to look at the funding of the customs plaza that is so critical. The Canadian government has been so very, very supportive and we do need the U.S. Government to help."

Donovan told Dingell that they have been working closely with them and is "optimistic it can move forward."
