Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX), chairman of the House Rules Committee, today issued the following statement on the House's passage of the first complete bicameral budget resolution since 2001:

"With Republicans in control of both houses of Congress, we were finally able to pass a bicameral budget resolution, something the Congress failed to do time and time again under Democratic leadership at taxpayers' expense."
