Statement

This week the House passed bipartisan legislation to ensure our military has the necessary infrastructure, boost funding for veterans programs, and to make the Department of Veterans Affairs more accountable. The bill reflects our unwavering commitment to providing America's troops and veterans with the resources they need while on active duty and when they return to our communities. I'm also proud to report that the legislation included an amendment I offered to provide veterans with more resources for job training and other services to help them transition into the civilian sector.

Weekly Update:

Received the U.S. Chamber's Spirit of Enterprise award for my commitment to supporting polices to create jobs and grow a healthy economy

Recognized by the American Motorcycle Association with the Hero Award for supporting riders' rights and issues of importance to motorcycling

Hosted a Military Academy Night at Monroe High School for students and parents to learn more about the nomination process for military service academies

Answered questions and gave an update on my work in Congress during a coffee hour with constituents at Cambridge Township Hall

Questioned EPA officials at an Oversight and Government Reform hearing on gross mismanagement and employee misconduct issues at the agency
