This week is National Agriculture Week. Agriculture is a key component of Michigan's economy, supporting more than 920,000 jobs and contributing more than $101 billion annually to the state's economy. Michigan is also home to 52,200 farms, covering nearly 10 million acres of farmland. Please join me in thanking Michigan farmers for all they do to provide an abundant, healthy food supply.

Hosted a coffee hour and answered constituent questions in Somerset, my 7th coffee hour of the year

Pressed FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler about the lack of transparency surrounding new Internet regulations

Questioned Labor Secretary Tom Perez about workplace issues during an Education and Workforce Committee hearing

Spoke on the House floor in opposition to the NLRB's new Ambush Election rule, which jeopardizes the privacy of workers and undermines their ability to make informed decisions

Met with Scott and Ali Ferry, fourth generation dairy farm owners from Litchfield and recipients of the Outstanding Young Farmers award

Attended the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Dinner

Toured the St. Louis Center, a residential community in Chelsea for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
