Year after year, President Obama submits an unworkable budget that taxes too much, spends too much, and never balances. This year's $4 trillion budget--unveiled on Monday--is more of the same. I'm committed to supporting an alternative approach--one where we balance the budget, stop runaway government spending, and grow a healthy economy from the bottom up.

Introduced the Helping Families Save for Education Act with Rep. Dan Kildee (D-M), bipartisan legislation to help students and families save money for higher education
Examined the Obama administration's lack of transparency and accountability during an Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing
Attended an Education and the Workforce Committee hearing about how states can strengthen education and remove barriers to jobs
Spoke on the House floor about the Taxpayers Right-To-Know Act, a bipartisan bill I introduced to help eliminate wasteful government spending
Met with new Michigan Farm Bureau Carl Bednarksi to discuss important agriculture issues and my strong support of farmers in Michigan's 7th District
