Van Hollen Receives Legislator of the Year Award from Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Maryland Congressman Chris Van Hollen received the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's Outstanding Legislator of the Year award, presented at the Chamber's 2015 Business Award Gala.

"I am honored to receive the Outstanding Legislator of the Year award, but it's an even greater honor to work every day with Maryland's dynamic and vibrant Hispanic business community," said Congressman Van Hollen. "Through tough economic times nationally, Hispanic business owners in Maryland have shown great resilience and a determination to grow. I'm going to continue to work to ensure our economic recovery accelerates in a way that benefits small business owners, and to build on the progress President Obama is making to our immigration system by fighting to pass comprehensive reform."

At its Business Award Holiday Gala, the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce recognizes local businesses for their hard work and non-profits and legislators for their dedication to helping the Latino community throughout the State of Maryland.
