Families across New Jersey are tightening their belts to live within their means -- and it's time State government did the same. Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land support a State spending cap because they don't want to see our tax dollars going towards wasteful pet projects. They fought to lower taxes by introducing a proposal for a constitutional amendment that would require a 2/3 majority vote of the legislature to approve any bill proposing a new or increased State tax, fee, surcharge or civil penalty.

Together they fought to cut taxes for small businesses and to restore property tax rebates for homeowners. But more needs to be done. Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land support commonsense accountability, including granting the State Comptroller the power to identify and recommend budget reductions for certain State agencies and authorities, as well as requiring State departments to prove that it is more cost effective to contract out for work than performing the services themselves.
