Menendez, Booker Announce Over $21 Million in Sandy-Recovery Federal Funding for New Jersey

U.S. Senators Robert Menendez and Cory Booker (both D-N.J.) today announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) has awarded $21,172,333 in federal Sandy relief grants to the State of New Jersey. The funds will go towards mitigation projects, debris removal reimbursements, and repair and clean-up efforts in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.

"These grant awards are another firm step forward in our state's path to full recovery from Superstorm Sandy." said Sen. Menendez. "This is most welcome relief for those who rose to the occasion and acted without hesitation to keep our families and neighborhoods safe, as well as those who continue doing the hard work remaining to rebuild and prepare our state for future storms."

"The road to recovery from Superstorm Sandy continues for many communities throughout our state," said Sen. Booker. "Today's funding announcement represents another step in the right direction to restoring all that was lost and strengthening our state for future storms."
