Menendez, Booker Announce More than $1.5M for NJ Head Start Programs

U.S.Senators Robert Menendez and Cory Booker (both D-NJ) today announced $1,555,778 in federal funding to Gateway Community Action Partnership to strengthen Head Start and Early Head Start programs for young children throughout Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Salem and Mercer Counties.

"Every parent, regardless of income, wants their child to have the opportunity to reach his or her full potential," said Sen. Menendez ."That's why this federal funding is so important to support Head Start programs and facilities that offer high-quality early childhood development programs to children across our state. I will continue fighting to ensure our children receive the necessary early learning services they need to become tomorrow's leaders."

"This Head Start funding will support low-income families in Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Salem and Mercer counties and help children meet their full potential."
