Chairman McCaul Taps Susan Phalen as Committee's New Communications Director

Today, U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security, announced that Susan Phalen has joined the Committee as Communications Director:
Chairman McCaul: "I am pleased to welcome Susan Phalen as the new Communications Director for the Committee. Susan's years of experience running U.S. Government communications efforts for complex domestic and international communications events related to national security will serve the Committee well. Her recent work on the House Intelligence Committee and her on the ground communications experience in Iraq and Afghanistan will be an asset in communicating the Committee's role in protecting the homeland and keeping Americans safe."
