Sens. Menendez and Booker Announce $2.2M for Early Education Programs in Bridgeton

U.S. Senators Robert Menendez and Cory Booker (both D-NJ) today announced the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded $2,205,113.00 in federal funding to strengthen Head Start and Early Head Start programs at the Tri-County Community Action Agency in Bridgeton, NJ.

"Early education programs like Head Start are the best way we can ensure children from low income families enter school fully prepared to learn and succeed." said Sen. Menendez. "I'm so pleased that with this funding, the Tri-County Community Action Agency will be able to provide more young children in Bridgeton the early learning services they need to become the leaders of tomorrow."

"Head Start programs have proven time and time again that with access to quality early education, we can have a tremendous impact on child's future success," said Sen. Booker. "I am pleased that today's funding will benefit the children of Bridgeton because one of the most sound investments New Jersey can make is on them."
