Menendez, Booker Announce More Than $2.5M for Head Start in Ocean County

United States Senators Robert Menendez and Cory Booker (both D-NJ) today announced $2,590,899 in federal funding to Ocean Community Economic Action Now (O.C.E.A.N. Inc.) to strengthen Head Start programs for disabled children. O.C.E.A.N., Inc. currently operates Head Start programs throughout Ocean County in Brick, Berkeley, Barnegat, Toms River, Manchester and Lakewood.

"Every parent, regardless of income, wants their child to have the opportunity to reach her full potential," said Sen. Menendez. "That's why this federal funding is so important to support Head Start programs and facilities that offer high-quality early childhood development programs to children in Ocean County. I will continue fighting to ensure our children receive the necessary early learning services they need to become tomorrow's leaders."
