U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) issued the following statement regarding the passage of the Senate Republican Budget:

"Republicans promised to pass a responsible budget that protects taxpayers and sets the nation on a path towards sound fiscal footing, and today we delivered on that pledge. The Senate Republican budget balances without raising taxes, gives our troops and veterans the resources they need, and ensures our children and grandchildren have the same economic opportunities we do today."
