McCaul Statement on Death of Kayla Mueller

Statement

Date: Feb. 10, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

Today, U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security, released the following statement on the death of Kayla Mueller, an American aid worker who was held hostage by ISIS:

Chairman McCaul: "I am deeply saddened by the news that Kayla Mueller has lost her life. My thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones in this difficult time. While Kayla selflessly devoted herself to the cause of helping those in need, violent Islamist extremists like ISIS have devoted themselves to death and destruction. Her death will only strengthen our resolve to destroy these depraved barbarians."
