Today, upon the opening of the House floor, the entire U.S. Constitution was read to kick off the 114th Congress. Congresswoman Elise Stefanik released the following statement:

"This week I was proud to take the oath of office and swear to protect and defend the Constitution," said Congresswoman Stefanik. "This is a duty that I will faithfully uphold as I represent the people of New York's 21st District in Congress, and I can't think of a more fitting way to begin the 114th than to have the entire House reminded of the words of this historic founding document."
