Today, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY-21) issued the following statement applauding the Plattsburgh, Ogdensburg, and Massena communities for being recognized by Site Selection Magazine as top U.S. "micropolitan areas" ranked by number of new or expanded corporate facility projects.

"This is great news for the North Country community as it recognizes the strong efforts by our community leaders to promote and expand economic activity," said Congresswoman Stefanik. "Making this national list is an honor, and I look forward to working in Congress to help our North Country community's economy grow and continue to make this exciting progress."

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, "a micropolitan area contains an urban core of at least 10,000 residents but less than 50,000 in total population."
