"Pope Francis' scheduled address before a joint session of Congress in September is a tremendous opportunity for my colleagues and I to hear from a leading voice on behalf of the world's most vulnerable citizens. I consider it an incredible honor to be able to hear directly from the Pope in the chamber that I work in on behalf of New York's 20th Congressional District. I imagine the Pope will share a message of compassion and humility -- two traits that all of us, and especially those of us in Congress, could always use more of for our neighbors both at home and across the globe. I look forward to hearing what he has to say later this year,"said Tonko.
