U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) released the following statement for the dedication of the statue of former Senator Barry Goldwater to the National Statuary Hall Collection yesterday, Wednesday February 11, 2015:
"Barry Goldwater represented the ideal statesman. Arizonan's could not have had a better voice to speak on their behalf and represent their unique western values. Barry Goldwater was tea party before tea party was cool. It is only fitting that a statue of this great American, who believed above all else in upholding and defending the Constitution, should stand tall in the National Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol.
"I am proud to be joined by the entire Arizona Congressional delegation to honor this patriot who still serves as a timeless example of what all elected officials should strive for in their efforts to serve the American people."
