Congressman French Hill (AR-2) released the following statement today in recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, which is observed on Monday, January 19, 2015:

"Each year, Americans join in service, prayer, and remembrance to honor the important work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his tireless fight to ensure equality and justice for all Americans. We must strive to uphold Dr. King's legacy and embrace his teachings of compassion, nonviolence, and democracy. Tomorrow I will be joining the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission at an interfaith prayer breakfast in Little Rock and then in serving our community in Benton. I hope that others across Arkansas and the country will adhere to the President's call to service to honor this great American icon."
