Scalise Statement on Senate Approval of the Keystone XL Pipeline

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) today issued the following statement regarding Senate passage of S.1, the Keystone XL Pipeline Act.

"I applaud Leader McConnell and the U.S. Senate for passing the bipartisan Keystone jobs bill and showing the American people that the new American Congress is fulfilling its commitment to create American jobs and get our nation back on the right track," Rep. Scalise said. "Once we send this jobs bill to his desk, I urge President Obama to drop his veto threat and stand with millions of hard-working taxpayers in support of finally building the Keystone XL pipeline. The American people have waited far too long for this critical infrastructure project."
