Cramer Statement on Keystone XL Legislation Advancing to President's Desk

Statement

Today Congressman Kevin Cramer issued a statement ahead of the Keystone XL approval legislation being placed on President Obama's desk tomorrow:

"Keystone XL is good for job creation, national and energy security, public safety and the environment. In addition to supporting 42,000 jobs, it would increase traffic safety by removing 300 to 500 long-haul trucks from North Dakota roads. According to testimony, the North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources estimates the approval of the pipeline is expected to reduce highway fatalities in North Dakota by 3 to 6 per year and injury crashes by 85 to 150 annually. I urge the President to end six years of gridlock and sign this bipartisan piece of legislation.

Mr. President, let's work together and share the burden and the joy of approving this important piece of transportation infrastructure."
