Cramer Statement on Netanyahu Address to Joint Session of Congress

Statement

Date: March 3, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint session of Congress:

"The special relationship between the U.S. and Israel is far too important to become a partisan issue. I am grateful an overwhelming majority of the House and the Senate were in attendance to hear the concerns and harsh realities of what a nuclear Iran means to the security of the United States and the very survival of Israel. As I listened to the Prime Minister's speech, I was impressed by the direct and honest way he talked with the American people. As Americans we have become accustomed to our elected officials being politically correct and afraid to tell us truth. As they fight each day for their very survival, political correctness is a luxury the people and leaders of Israel do not have. Prime Minister Netanyahu's speech showed a sense of purpose and moral clarity from a national leader that has rarely been heard in a while."
