Statement

New year, new Congress. The 114th Congress will commence in less than 24 hours. At that time a new Republican majority will be sworn-in in the Senate and the largest Republican majority since Herbert Hoover's presidency will get to work in the House of Representatives. As a Congress, we will promote legislation that stays true to our Constitution and our Conservative principles. As the Chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight & Investigations, I intend to look into legislative initiatives that protect your privacy and your relationship with your bank. And, as the Representative for the 7th District of Wisconsin, I will continue my efforts to hear your concerns and introduce legislation that addresses the needs of our district.

Before the 114th takes-off, I'd like to take a look back at the year that was. Once again, we reached our goal of holding meetings and town halls in every county in the district, hosted another successful jobs fair and I was very honored to present three of our hometown heroes with their long overdue service medals.

I am grateful for all of the conversations I've been fortunate to have with so many of you and, with your help, I look forward to more conversations and more successes in the new Congress.
