Montana's Congressional Delegation Reacts to Obama's Speech

Montana's congressional delegation split along party lines Monday night with Democratic Sen. Jon Tester praising President Barack Obama's State of the Union address, while Republican Sen. Steve Daines and Rep. Ryan Zinke criticized the president.

Tester endorsed Obama's initiatives to help the middle-class through education nd investments in infrastructure and changes in the tax code.

Daines and Zinke both criticized Obama for his opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline and economic initiatives.

Zinke: "The president failed Montana on the economy and national security. Instead of siding with Montana's working families and small businesses, the president sided with radical campaign donors and opposed the job-creating Keystone. Montana families are hurting in Obama's part-time economy. There aren't enough jobs. Taxes are too high. Tuition is skyrocketing. Veterans aren't being cared for. And Obamacare is a disaster …

"Finally, I'm disappointed the president failed to lay out a clear and concise plan to combat the rise of Islamic jihadist terrorism … I urge the president to get serious about ISIS and present a plan to Congress."
