Issues: Budget, Spending and Taxes
U.S. Reps. Mark Pocan (D-WI), a member of the House Budget Committee, today released the following statement on the CBO's Budget and Economic Outlook:
"Today's CBO report shows our nation's budget deficit continues to shrink while our economy continues to grow and improve after the 2009 recession," said Rep. Mark Pocan. "Unfortunately, because wages have remained flat, the recovery has not been felt by working Americans. In order to continue the economic recovery and further reduce our deficit, Congress must act to address the problem of wage stagnation."
