Pete Sessions Stands With Israel

Statement

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-32), Chairman of the House Rules Committee and a Member of House Republican Leadership, today released the following statement in response to Prime Minister Netanyahu's joint address to Congress:

"This morning I was honored to attend Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's joint address to Congress. During his address he urged Congress to support our friend Israel and to work side by side with them to ensure that Iran cannot build a nuclear weapon. Iran is the foremost state sponsor of terrorism in the world and I am disappointed that the President continues to give them the time and flexibility necessary to work toward building a nuclear bomb.

"I cannot and will not support any deal made by the Administration that threatens Israel's security. Israel is one of our nation's strongest democratic allies and we must stand steadfast in our support for them."
