"For the 56th time, Republicans have attempted to repeal the Affordable Care. Nearly as many times, they've promised the American people a replacement.
"Before the Affordable Care Act, women paid more for their health insurance than men, having a heart attack or diabetes meant you could be denied coverage, and being diagnosed with cancer could lead to financial ruin even with insurance because of lifetime and annual dollar caps. Rather than turn back the clock on our progress, I urge both sides of the aisle to come to the table and work together to strengthen our nation's healthcare system."
