Today Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada's First Congressional District issued the following statement on the release of Volumes II and V of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Safety Evaluation Report (SER) concerning Yucca Mountain.

"The NRC process has revealed substantive flaws in the DOE application. The reports do not change the fact that efforts to restart the failed Yucca Mountain project are a waste of time and resources. This is a boondoggle of an idea, and I will continue to stand firm in my opposition."
